In this regard, a meeting by the Indian Journalist Association in Dumariaganj was publicly condemned by the BSA. A demand has been made from the government to apologize to the journalist from the accused officer and sack him. It was also warned that if the accused officer did not publicly apologize to the journalists within 24 hours and if he was not sacked, an indefinite agitation would be launched by the Indian Journalist Association.
In a meeting organized at the camp office of the district unit of the Indian Journalist Association located in Dumariaganj, District President Krishna Pratap Singh said that the hate speech and objectionable remarks made by Basic Education Officer Devendra Pandey about the journalists are condemnable, he should immediately ask the journalist publicly for comments. Apologies, he should be fired. State Spokesperson Purvanchal Hashim Rizvi said that instead of taking action against the teachers who are absent from the schools by BSA, threatening the journalists who expose the truth, making hate speech remarks against them shows their sick mentality. It is indecent to do such kind of action, action should be taken against them. He warned that if action is not taken against the concerned officer soon, then Indian Journalist Association will stage an indefinite strike at the office of District Basic Education Officer.
